Minimum Wage 2024 (RM1,700) Implementation & Employment Act 1955 Amendment – Webinar

This webinar is tailored to help Malaysian companies effectively navigate and implement the Minimum Wage 2024 (RM 1,700) while aligning with the latest amendments to the Employment Act 1955.

It combines practical insights, legal compliance strategies, and actionable steps to ensure smooth adoption of these critical changes. The new Minimum Wage (2024) has been implemented on 1 February 2024 while the Employment Amendments Act 2022 was enforced on 1 January 2023.

The 2022 amendment covers a wide range of revisions including new introductions that will affect employers such as flexible work arrangements, forced labour provisions and paternity leave. The amendment will also see an enhancement in maternity allowance and a reduction of work hours, and an expansion of the scope of overtime entitlement and enhancement of hospitalisation leave.

Employers would need to ensure their policies and practices meet these provisions and tweak their operational arrangement, among others, such as in work hour revision. This workshop intends to equip employers on the changes and assist companies in implementing them.
