This course is designed to equip participants with essential payroll and tax computation skills for compliance in Malaysia
Description
Payroll & Tax Computation
Module Overview
The computerised payroll calculation method was introduced in 2009 for employers using systems approved by the Inland Revenue Board Malaysia (IRBM). Employers without computerised systems continue using the Schedular Tax Deduction (STD) method, which was later streamlined in 2010 into the Monthly Tax Deduction (MTD) system.
Due to these changes, many employers face challenges explaining sudden increases or decreases in employees’ monthly tax deductions. This programme provides clarity on the calculations, formulas, and processes, enhancing understanding and confidence in payroll and tax computation.
