Job Summary
The Conference Producer is responsible for researching, developing, producing and delivering commercially viable conferences, seminars, forums and executive events across the MHRF Conferences portfolio. The role owns the conference product from concept to post-event review, including market research, programme and agenda development, speaker acquisition, audience definition, commercial proposition support and cross-functional delivery. The Conference Producer is accountable for developing relevant, high-quality conference intellectual property that can achieve agreed revenue, contribution and market-positioning objectives.

- Conference Research & Development
- Conduct market research to identify emerging business, industry and professional topics with conference potential.
- Define target audience, market need, conference positioning and key value proposition.
- Assess competing events, market gaps and commercial potential before recommending concepts for development.
- Prepare conference concept briefs and research findings for review and approval.
- Programme & Content Development
- Develop conference themes, agendas, session topics and formats aligned with market needs.
- Research and identify relevant case studies, organisations, trends and subject-matter areas.
- Ensure programmes are commercially relevant to both delegates and potential sponsors.
- Continuously refine content based on market feedback, speaker input and commercial intelligence.
- Speaker Acquisition & Management
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline and database of potential speakers, moderators and industry experts.
- Conduct proactive speaker outreach and secure suitable speakers within agreed timeline.
- Manage speaker communication, confirmations, biographies, presentation requirements and programme information.
- Maintain professional relationships with speakers to support future conferences and the wider MHRF speaker ecosystem.
- Commercial & Cross-Functional Support
- Develop clear audience profiles, sponsor relevance and commercial narratives for assigned conferences.
- Provide the Sponsorship and Corporate/Delegate Sales teams with programme information, market insights, speaker updates and supporting materials required to sell effectively.
- Work with Marketing to develop campaign angles, content, speaker-led promotions and audience messaging.
- Monitor commercial traction and participate in conference Green/Amber/Red reviews, recommending repositioning, resizing, merging or other corrective action where required.
- Conference Project Management & Delivery
- Own and maintain the master production timeline for assigned conferences from concept approval through delivery.
- Coordinate key milestones across programme, speakers, sales, marketing, design and operations.
- Work with Operations on venue requirements, room setup, speaker logistics, run-of-show and onsite requirements.
- Attend and support assigned conferences onsite, ensuring programme quality and effective speaker management.
- Post-Event Review & Portfolio Development
- Collect and analyse delegate, speaker and sponsor feedback following each conference.
- Review conference performance against agreed objectives including revenue, contribution, attendance, content quality and satisfaction.
- Prepare recommendations for repeat, scale, reposition, merge, postpone or discontinue decisions.
- Identify new conference IP and future editions based on market intelligence and portfolio performance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Human Resources, Economics, Technology, or any related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in conference production, conference research, content/programme development, B2B events, media/events, research, or a related role.
- Experience independently producing B2B conferences or executive-level events is highly preferred.
- Strong research and analytical ability.
- Proven ability to develop commercially relevant conference agendas and compelling event propositions.
- Strong attention to detail, ownership, initiative and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with CRM, project management and event management systems is an advantage.
- Strong communication skill.
